Hull declares a 'state of emergency' in Washington DC

He quickly accepted President Frank Underwood's America Works program which allowed him to eliminate unemployment in the District of Columbia which Hull mentioned had 40,000 unemployed. Hull did this by calling the District into a "state of emergency" claiming the unemployment rate added to the murders and robberies in the city.

Trivia[]

  • The writers of House of Cards made a factual error when they referred to Hull as the "Police Commissioner". This title does not exist in the MPDC. Barney Hull is the Police Chief.
